Question 1

What actually happens in a session?

You book a time, not a specific service. Before we start, we talk briefly about what's going on for you — physically, emotionally, whatever feels relevant. From there, I decide what your body needs most that day. It might be Reiki, sound therapy, herbal bodywork, or a combination. You lie fully clothed on a comfortable table and rest. I do the work.

Question 2

Do I have to choose a service when I book?

Accepted Answer

No. You're booking time with me, not a menu item. Every session is customized based on what you need when you arrive. If you have a preference or something specific you want to focus on, just mention it — but you don't need to figure it out in advance.

Question 3

I've never done anything like this. Is it weird?

Accepted Answer

It's not. You stay fully clothed. There's no chanting, no pressure to feel anything in particular, and nothing you need to do except rest. Most first-timers are surprised by how normal — and how effective — it feels.

Question 4

What's the difference between Reiki, sound therapy, and herbal bodywork?

Accepted Answer

Reiki is hands-on energy work focused on calming the nervous system and clearing stuck energy. Sound therapy adds Tibetan singing bowls — the vibration works on a physical level and tends to drop people into a very deep state of rest. Herbal bodywork uses warm herbal oils and slow, intentional touch. All three support the same goal: getting your body out of fight-or-flight and into a state where it can actually heal. If you're not sure where to start, Reiki + Sound is the most popular.

Question 5

I'm going through perimenopause or menopause. Can this help?

This is a big part of what I do. Hormonal shifts affect sleep, mood, anxiety, energy, and physical tension — and most of that lives in the nervous system, not just in your hormones. My work addresses that layer directly. Many of my clients come specifically for perimenopause and menopause support and find it fills a gap that medication alone doesn't.

Question 6

I'm dealing with grief or burnout. Is this the right kind of support?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Grief and burnout both live in the body — not just the mind. I'm trauma-informed, which means I work at a pace that feels safe, and you don't have to talk about what you're going through if you don't want to. A lot of healing happens in the quiet.

Question 7

How often should I come?

Accepted Answer

It depends on where you are. If you're in an acute period — high stress, a health challenge, a major life transition — weekly or every other week tends to be most effective. For ongoing maintenance and support, once a month is common. After your first session, I'll give you my honest read on what I think would serve you best.

Question 8

What's the difference between a single session and a Wellness Support Program?

Accepted Answer

A single session is a great starting point — or a way to come back when you need it. The Wellness Support Programs are for women who want consistent, evolving care over 3, 6, or 12 months. The work builds on itself. I get to know your patterns, and the sessions become more targeted over time. Programs also include priority scheduling and support between appointments.

Question 9

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Accepted Answer

Many clients do. HSA and FSA cards are accepted through Square at checkout. Whether your specific plan covers wellness services depends on your provider — it's worth checking, but many do.

Question 10

Do you offer gift certificates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Gift certificates are available through the Shop. They make a thoughtful gift for someone going through a hard season — a health challenge, a loss, a major transition.

Question 11

Do I have to have experience with this kind of work?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Many of my clients come in with no background in energy work or bodywork. You don't need to prepare or know anything in advance. You just need to show up and be willing to rest.

Question 12

Can sessions be done remotely?

Accepted Answer

Reiki can be done remotely via video call and is just as effective as in-person. Sound therapy and herbal bodywork require you to be here in person.

Question 13

Is this covered by insurance?

Accepted Answer

No. These are wellness sessions, not medical treatment, and are not covered by health insurance. HSA and FSA cards are often accepted — see above.

Question 14

What's your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

48 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Life happens — just communicate. No-shows and last-minute cancellations are not eligible for rescheduling.

Question 15

Do you work with men and children?

Accepted Answer

My practice is primarily focused on women, but I do work with men and children on a referral basis — meaning you'd need to be referred by a current client. I reserve the right to decline any new client at my discretion. If you're interested, reach out and we can talk.
