Reiki
A gentle, non-invasive practice for stress relief, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being — available in-person in Mahopac, NY or remotely.
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice that supports relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. The word comes from the Japanese words rei (universal) and ki (life energy). A trained practitioner works with gentle, intentional presence — either with light touch or hands hovering above the body — to support the body's natural ability to find balance.
Sessions are calm, non-invasive, and deeply restorative. You remain fully clothed throughout. There is nothing to do except rest.
Reiki is most commonly sought for stress, anxiety, emotional heaviness, and the kind of fatigue that sleep doesn't fix. It supports nervous system regulation — helping your body shift out of a chronic stress response and into a state of genuine rest.
People also use Reiki to support recovery, process grief, move through life transitions, or simply create space for themselves in a way that feels different from anything else they've tried.
Most people experience a deep sense of calm during a session. Some notice warmth, gentle tingling, or a feeling of heaviness as the body settles. Others drift into a restful, meditative state. Every experience is different — there is no right or wrong way to receive Reiki.
After a session, most people feel noticeably lighter, clearer, or more grounded. Some feel the shift immediately. For others it unfolds over the following day or two.
Not at all. Reiki is not affiliated with any religion, belief system, or spiritual practice. It is a wellness modality — nothing about a session will conflict with your existing faith or worldview. People of all backgrounds receive Reiki.
